Afnan is an aspiring entrepreneur who is, currently, finalising her Msc. degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Warwick in UK. She has a passion for developing innovative solutions that combine cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of customers’ needs. She has 10 years of diverse work experience ranging from product and project management to quality and business process improvement and operations in the software industry. She also has a background in both market research and agile project management.
She is also a TechWomen and Prince’s Trust International’s fellow leader through which she has developed leadership skills and built an international network of professionals and change makers who advocate and foster positive impact in their communities. She has also served as a mentor to empower youth in Jordan, more especially women, through sharing knowledge, building capacity, and creating win-win relationships.
During her participation in the TechWomen program in 2015, she has addressed and worked with her Jordanian team on a critical issue in Jordan which is the low employability rate of women in technology-related fields.the initiative which was called- She Can Do It - has focused on bridging the gap between the skills acquired through the educational system and the skills needed for the job market through providing comprehensive training and capacity building opportunities, followed by offering mentorship and networking.
